lyrics

Riding south, somewhere I've never seen,
From the sun to headlights bouncing off the trees.
Dragged my bumper down highway 95,
Weaving in and out to make it right on time.

Around the fire you were breaking bread,
Seeing clouds of color swirl around your head.
So you take your seat upon the throne,
And we set our sights south, towards the unknown.

Would you be satisfied,
If I told you that I lied?
The crowns we chase, all I am,
Fall with the dirt in my hands.

Rise and shine, a day of sight and sound,
From the sun to stage lights bouncing off the ground.
But the pull becomes to much to bare,
And it's begging us to pass what we beware.

On and on we go to see what lies,
Past the felled tree, from where we heard your cries.
Not the music we had planned to hear.
All through the night, it would fill us with fear.
